First appearing in 2021's The Falcon and the Winter Soldier television series, Danny Ramirez reprises his role as 'Captain Joaquin Torres', the aspiring new 'Falcon' in Captain America: Brave New World. In the latest MCU big screen entry, the fledgling superhero helps his partner 'Sam Wilson', the new high-flying 'Captain America', rescue hostages, retrieve stolen rare metal samples and take on mind-controlled fighter jets over Celestial Island in the Indian Ocean, even at the cost of serious personal injury.

Joaquin Torres is keen to take on the mantle of Falcon using Sam Wilson's old wingsuit, now that the new Captain America is using a wingsuit gifted to him by Wakandan scientists, although Sam wants him to train with 'Isaiah Bradley' to prepare him for life out in the field of combat.

Joaquin's flight suit certainly evokes the green and brown colours and design of his Marvel Comics book counterpart, created by writer Nick Spencer and artist Daniel Acuña.

In Captain America: Brave New World, Anthony Mackie's shield-wielding 'Sam Wilson' faces off against Giancarlo Esposito's 'Seth Voelker' aka 'Sidewinder', the leader of the mercenary black ops snake-themed syndicate, the Serpent Society. The new winged Captain America rescues hostages and retrieves a stolen sample of the newly discovered metal, Adamantium, from the ruthless mercenary group in Oaxaca, Mexico at the start of the movie and then is later ambushed by Sidewinder, who has been hired by the nefarious mastermind, 'Dr. Samuel Sterns' aka 'The Leader' in his quest for revenge against 'U.S. President Thaddeus Ross'.

The MCU version of Sidewinder doesn't appear to possess the teleporting abilities of his Marvel Comics counterpart, relying more on knives, axes and guns.

Although the codename 'Sabra' is never used in Captain America: Brave New World, Shira Haas plays the Marvel Cinematic Universe version of the Israeli mutant superhero and Mossad agent. In the film directed by Julius Onah, 'Ruth Bat-Seraph' is a security advisor to 'U.S. President Thaddeus Ross' and a former 'Black Widow' graduate of the Red Room, responsible for training young women to be elite spies and assassins. She helps Anthony Mackie's new winged 'Captain America' deescalate an international incident and nefarious plan to expose the U.S. President masterminded by the gamma-augmented intellect of 'Dr. Samuel Sterns' aka 'The Leader'.

In Marvel Studios Captain America: Brave New World Harrison Ford takes over from the late William Hurt as 'Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross', the newly elected President of the United States of America and oftentimes thorn in the side of the Avengers and 'Bruce Banner', the 'Hulk'. In this latest MCU entry he offers Anthony Mackie's 'Sam Wilson', the current 'Captain America', the chance to reform the Avengers in light of recent cosmic events like The Blip and the mergence of Celestial Island in the Indian Ocean. Secretly Ross has been keeping the gamma-powered mastermind 'Dr. Samuel Sterns' aka 'The Leader' imprisoned and using him as a human think tank, but the supervillain has turned the tables on his captor and has been manipulating the new President and feeding him gamma radiation pills to turn him into the 'Red Hulk'.

After being a wartime general, Ross wants to be considered a wartime President and wears this costume aboard the USS Milius in the Indian Ocean where Japan has moved their fleet to stake their claim on Celestial Island.
