To survive he smuggled anti-viral medications from all over the world unavailable in America, and with the help of his sympathetic doctor, 'Eve Saks' (Jennifer Garner), and a fellow AIDS patient, 'Rayon' (Jared Leto), he established the Dallas Buyers Club, providing paying members with these alternative life-prolonging treatments.
