Alejandro González Iñárritu's latest acclaimed movie, The Revenant, scored big at the Golden Globes at the weekend, scooping up awards for Best Motion Picture - Drama, Best Actor for Leonardo DiCaprio and Best Director. The American frontier revenge drama is set in 1820s Montana and South Dakota and was inspired by true events and the experiences of frontiersman and fur trapper, 'Hugh Glass' (played by DiCaprio).

Betrayed and left for dead, his son also killed, he must fight to survive the cold, harsh environment and get his revenge on the man who wanted him dead.

The Revenant means 'one who has returned, as if from the dead', which is a fitting title for this brutal and grisly tale.
