You may have only glimpsed her legs after she was crushed beneath Dorothy's house when it crashes on her in 1939's The Wizard of Oz, but in Disney's 2013 prequel we get to see how truly evil and scheming 'Evanora the Wicked Witch of the East' was.

In Oz The Great and Powerful Rachel Weisz plays the sister of 'Theodora', who she ultimately manipulates into becoming the grotesque green-skinned Wicked Witch.
This fabulous original costume worn by the actress later in the movie was photographed on display at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood on March 14, 2013.

ReplyDeleteWas there anymore props or costumes, such as Theodora pre-wicked outfit? Or the other outfits they wore?
Or, most importantly, I really wanted to see Theodora's ring. I'm surprised they didn't place it on the mannequin. She did wear it still when she became wicked (obviously her power was there as Glinda's wand, and Evanora's necklace).
They had one costume each for Evanora, Theodora & Glinda that I've already posted, plus a few props I'll be posting shortly.
ReplyDeleteI love this dress, delicacy in the art of design, the great lines that make exquisite beads and feathers that complement the work. We are probably at the next Oscar winning brand in line with "Alice In Wonderland".
