Emmy-nominated American Horror Story: Hotel TV costumes on display...

In the fifth season of American Horror Story, after the gruesome happenings at murder houses, insane asylums, witches covens and circus freakshows, the action took place in the mysterious and enigmatic Hotel Cortez setting in Downtown L.A. The horror anthology series also welcomed Lady Gaga to its ranks as 'Elizabeth Johnson aka The Countess', a resident of the hotel and a vampire over 100 years old.

These AHS: Hotel costumes are nominated for an Emmy for Costume Designer Lou Eyrich, Assistant Costume Designer Helen Huang and Costume Supervisor Marisa Aboitiz.

Pop star Lady Gaga is no stranger to wearing outlandish outfits, so these glamorous gowns worn by the bloodthirsty Countess must have been a refreshing change.

In addition to bloodsuckers, the hotel is also frequented by demons and ghosts, including the heroin junkie 'Sally McKenna' played by AHS regular Sarah Poulson.

Another resident of the hotel is the eccentric transgender bartender of the Blue Parrot Lounge, 'Liz Taylor', played by Denis O'Hare, given his makeover and name by the Countess.

Finally the handsome Matt Bomer played 'Donovan', a former drug addict infected with the vampire virus and and twenty year long lover of the Countess.

Lady Gaga and Adam Driver movie costumes from House of Gucci on display...

In addition to the actors vying for accolades this awards season, no doubt House of Gucci will be hoping for recognition for the movie's wardrobe designed by previous Oscar winner, Janty Yates. That's probably one of the reasons for this temporary costume exhibit for Ridley Scott's biographical crime drama about the luxury Italian fashion label and the deadly scandal that rocked the family. In the film Lady Gaga plays an outsider from humble beginnings, Patrizia Reggiani, who meets and marries the heir to the Gucci empire, Maurizio Gucci (Adam Driver). When their marriage falls apart, the family fights to retain control of the business empire, and not everyone survives the experience.
