This year saw the adaptation of writer

Gabriel Bá's Dark Horse Comics series
The Umbrella Academy for
Netflix. The series focuses on the super-powered wards of eccentric billionaire
'Sir Reginald Hargreeves' (Colm Feore), who adopted seven gifted children (including
Robert Sheehan's 'Klaus' and
Aiden Gallagher's 'Number Five') after they we all mysteriously born on the same day. He names and trains them at his academy, were they are cared for by a surrogate mother (and robot)
'Grace' (Jordan Claire Robbins). Years later after his apparent death, his children reunite to question his demise and avert an impending apocalypse. In the series
Kate Walsh plays
'The Handler', the head of the
Commission and the former boss of the time and space jumping
Five.
