This year
Disney's beloved 1955 animated classic,
Lady and the Tramp, gets a live-action remake for the new streaming service,
Disney+ launching in the
U.S. in November. The love story about a prim and proper upper-middle-class
American cocker spaniel named
'Lady' and the street-smart, start schnauzer named
'Tramp' also stars the humans
Thomas Mann as
'Jim Dear' and
Kiersey Clemons as
'Darling Dear' (
Lady's owners). This film like the animated original is based on the 1945
Cosmopolitan magazine story of
Happy Dan, The Cynical Dog by
Ward Greene.
Screen-used costumes and props
from Lady and the Tramp
These screen-used costumes and props from the film were photographed on display at
Disney's D23 Expo in
Anaheim, California on August 23, 2019.
Colleen Atwood and
Timothy A. Wonsik were
Costume Designers on the movie directed by
Charlie Bean, which I believe is set around 1909 onwards.
For more originals available on
Disney+, make sure you also check out
Anna Kendrick's Noelle movie costumes and these
costumes from Star Wars: The Mandalorian on display.
