In Thor: Love and Thunder, Tessa Thompson returns as the winged horse-riding 'Valkyrie' with an affinity for sharp blades. She is the King of New Asgard on Earth, but has grown bored with the bureaucracy of the job and leaps into action alongside Natalie Portman's female 'Thor' and Chris Hemsworth's 'Thor Odinson' to rescue the stolen children of the Norwegian village populated by the surviving Asgardians. The bisexual shield-maiden and reigning sovereign of New Asgard travels with her companions to Omnipotence City to help find a weapon to take on Christian Bale's vengeful 'Gorr the God Butcher'.
