'Rudy Ray Moore' who created the stand-up comedy stage pimp persona
'Dolemite' and starred in several
Blaxploitation movies based on the character, starting with 1975's
Dolemite. In the movie
Da'Vine Joy Randolph plays single mother-turned-
Moore confidante and collaborator,
'Lady Reed' (and later film star
'Queen Bee'), whilst
Wesley Snipes plays
Rosemary's Baby actor
'D'Urville Martin'.
