Saoirse Ronan's Lady Bird movie costumes on display...

In Greta Gerwig's solo directorial debut, Saoirse Ronan plays 17-year-old high schooler 'Christine "Lady Bird" McPherson in a coming-of-age tale set in Sacramento, California in 2002. The film explores her senior year of school, first romances, acting in the school play, going to the prom, applying for college and arguing with her hard-working mother, 'Marion' (played by Laurie Metcalf). Their family doesn't have much spare cash so Lady Bird's clothes often come from the thrift store, like her prom dress.

These costumes were photographed on display at Downtown L.A.'s FIDM Museum on February 6, 2018 as part of the 26th annual Art of Motion Picture Costume Design Exhibition.
