Abbie Cornish stars in Sucker Punch as 'Sweet Pea', the reluctant member of an all-girl crew who hatch a plan to escape from a mental institution and the grisly fate that awaits them there.

Along with her onscreen sister 'Rocket' (Jena Malone), the girls band together and enter a fantastical world of dragons, brothels and B-52 bombers, armed with swords, guns and kick-ass martial-arts moves.

This revealing, slightly medieval looking costume was designed by Michael Wilkinson, who has also worked with director Zack Snyder on 300 and Watchmen.
You can check out the superhero costumes from Watchmen here at Hollywood Movie Costumes and props.

In addition to this fantastic costume from the movie, also on display with the exhibit was one of Sweet Pea's rifle props she uses in the film, which is much lighter than a real gun. Below the rifle you can also see Vanessa Hudgens (Blondie's) tomahawk prop.

  2. Glad to be able to share these pix, as the costumes were amazing up close, but it is a shame some of the armour and other accessories were absent.

Sweet Pea was my favourite character in the movie and it was great to see the costume in motion on the big screen!

  3. How amazing is this blog!

I'm from Spain, and my friends and I planned to do a cosplay of Sucker Punch in December, in the ExpoCómic, an event hosted in Madrid which is about comics, not only manga. We really thank you for this fantastic posts about the costumes; this sure will be very helpful for us, especially for making the weapons and the complements of every character. We will show the photos of our costumes.

And I got a question. Why Sweet Pea's sword doesn't appear in the exhibition? I know it only appears in the promotional posters, but I think in the film she carries it on her back...

    Thank you so much again!

  4. Thanks for the kind words and glad you found these photos of use.

Sadly not all the weapons, armour, belts or straps were included for each costume in the exhibit, but they still look amazing nonetheless.

Good luck with your costume designs :-)

  6. Thank you very much for this! Me and my friends are working on a Sucker Punch cosplay and I'm going to be Sweet Pea.

I have a question, though! Why is the long sleeve and the armour on her right arm in most of the promo pics and posters? Were the images flipped? I'd really like to get the side right, so I'm kinda curious :D

  10. Nice pictures!

I'm just baffled by the fact that they labeled the shotgun an "M4 Rifle".
