In October 2018
The Man in the High Castle returned for a third season of alternate history drama on
Amazon Prime Video. The series is inspired by
Philip K. Dick's 1962 novel of the same name and imagines a world where the
Axis powers of
Germany and
Japan won
World War II, splitting the rule of
America in an uneasy alliance. In this season
Alexa Davalos' heroine
'Juliana Crain' dives headfirst into the resistance to discover the secret of film reels showing alternate world history and is reunited with her old
Jewish boyfriend
'Frank Frink' (Rupert Evans). Meanwhile
SS Obergruppenführer 'John Smith' (Rufus Sewell) moves his wife
'Helen' (Chelah Horsdal) and family to
Manhattan after the death of their son, we meet
Laura Mennell's 'Thelma Harris', a closeted lesbian gossip columnist living in
New York City, and find out what real-life
neo-Nazi 'George Lincoln Rockwell' (played by
David Furr) would have been like in
Nazi-controlled
America.
