Esmé Squalor costumes worn by Lucy Punch
in A Series of Unfortunate Events
These fantastical costumes worn by Lucy Punch as Count Olaf's ally, 'Esmé Squalor', were photographed on display at Downtown L.A.'s FIDM Museum & Galleries on August 20, 2019.
Materialistic and vain, Esmé is extremely obsessed with fashion and sees it as a way to demonstrate her wealth and status. These businesswoman and military chic, Hollywood glamour and outlandish costumes looks really do steal the show, especially that octopus outfit.
Cynthia Summers was Costume Designer on the third season, working with Assistant Costume Designers Phoebe Parson and Kelsey Chobotar and Costume Supervisors Lorelei Burk and Courtney McKenzie.
Beatrice Baudelaire dragonfly opera costume
worn by Morena Baccarin
in A Series of Unfortunate Events
In this season Morena Baccarin plays the orphaned Baudelaire children's mother, 'Beatrice', and this is her show-stopping winged dragonfly opera dress. These outfits really were some of my favourite looks from this year's FIDM Museum Art of Television Costume Design exhibition, and fans of the television show can also enjoy these season two Emmy-nominated Carnivorous Carnival costumes from A Series of Unfortunate Events from last year's FIDM Museum TV exhibit.
