Back in August 2014 the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles live-action film franchise was being rebooted on the big screen, and this year Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird's comic book creations in a half shell are back with a movie sequel, Out of the Shadows.

Kingsman: The Secret Service movie costumes on display...

In 2015 Colin Firth and Taron Egerton brought Mark Miller and Dave Gibbon's spy comic book series to life on the big screen in Kingsmen: The Secret Service. These dapper costumes worn by the actors in the movie were photographed on display at Downtown L.A.'s Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising Museum on February 12 and April 21, 2016.

Arianne Phillips was Costume Designer on the action-packed espionage comic book adaptation directed by Matthew Vaughn.

In the movie Colin Firth plays a James Bond-like 'Kingsman' espionage agent 'Harry Hart', code-named 'Galahad'. During a mission in the Middle East in 1997 a fellow agent was killed saving the team and Harry tells his widow if she ever needs help, for her or her son, to call him.

Fast-forward several years and a grownup 'Gary "Eggsy" Unwin' is an unemployed, aimless youth getting into trouble with the cops. After being arrested for stealing a car he calls Harry for help and is introduced the secret world of international espionage, Saville Row tailored suits, evil masterminds and bullet-proof umbrellas.

Feeling like he owes his father a debt, Galahad suggests that Eggsy would be a great candidate for Kingsman training.

Galahad believes "The suit is a modern gentleman's armour. And the Kingsman agents are the new knights", and that's why he's always impeccably dressed in the movie, sporting classic British gentleman's attire.

Taron Egerton wears the chalked-white tartan wool siren suit (with Galway country boots) during his rigorous training with the other Kingsman replacement candidates, whilst he graduates to the well-groomed double-breasted, navy pinstripe suit with Oxford shoes when he goes on his mission at the end of the movie to stop 'Valentine's' (Samuel L. Jackson) world domination plans.

Aside from many costume updates, tweaks and redesigns for the likes of 'Ant-Man', 'Captain America' and the 'Scarlet Witch', one character and costume making its debut in this year's Captain America: Civil War is the Wakandan ruler, 'Black Panther', played by Chadwick Boseman.

His sleek and stealthy costume was photographed on display alongside Elizabeth Olsen's new Scarlet Witch costume at ArcLight Pasadena cinema on April 11, 2016.

From the looks of things, history's first black superhero will side with 'Team Iron Man' in the Civil War that divides Earth's Mightiest Heroes after all the invasions and destruction in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including the mind-controlled Hulk and Iron Man's battle in South Africa, forces the government to crack down on superpowered individuals.

Do you know how hard it is to photograph a black costume in dark surroundings behind a reflective display case, very hard. But I did what I could as I know costumers and cosplayers will go as crazy as me for all the detail in this cool screen costume.

Personally I love the African tribal detailing on his mask and the integration of technology which highlights his Wakandan origins, plus the Vibranium metal detailing adorning the suit which is a design nod to the groundbreaking Christopher Priest run on T'Challa's comic book and his panther namesake.

Judianna Makovsky was Costume Designer on this explosive movie directed by Joe and Anthony Russo (and she worked with Ironhead Studios to bring the Black Panther's costume to the big screen), and you can get a closer look at more of her original costumes from Captain America: Civil War right here at Hollywood Movie Costumes and Props.

I can't wait for this Black Panther to prowl and pounce his way onto the big screen this May, and in his future solo movie.

Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch costume from Captain America: Civil War on display...

One of my favourite scenes in Avengers: Age of Ultron was when the new team of Avengers assembles at the end of the movie, with the 'Scarlet Witch', 'Vision', 'Falcon' and 'War Machine' joining 'Captain America' and 'Black Widow'. In Captain America: Civil War these friends and allies are having to choose sides in a new conflict which has pitted the Star Spangled Avenger against the Invincible 'Iron Man', and Elizabeth Olsen's powerful and unpredictable 'Scarlet Witch' chooses 'Team Cap'.
