Spider-man and Gwen Stacy costumes from The Amazing Spider-man 2 on display...

Your friendly neighborhood Spider-man is swinging back into cinemas this year for another amazing adventure and this time not only is he joined by his lady love, 'Gwen Stacy', but he's up against a sinister bunch of arch-foes, including the 'Rhino', the 'Green Goblin' and 'Electro'.

ArcLight Hollywood really does showcase some of the best film costumes in Hollywoodland and these awesome Marvel comic book costumes worn by Andrew Garfield as 'Spidey', Emma Stone as 'Gwen' and Jamie Foxx as the supervillain 'Electro', were photographed on display at the cinema on April 29, 2014.

Come back soon to see Electro's costume for his movie debut in more detail, but in the meantime here's a chance to get a closer look at Spider-man's superheroic suit from this sequel to 2012 Webhead reboot.

Once again, I make no apologies for the quantity of photos as I know all you costumers and cosplayers appreciate the detail when it comes to creating your own amazing replicas.

This time around the Costume Designer Deborah Lynn Scott embraced the classic (and iconic) red, blue and black webbed costume design created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko in the early 1960's, bringing back the belt around his waist and making his bug eyes much bigger, and whiter, than the sleek lenses he wore in the 2012 movie.

Be sure to check out more of the designer's work in such movies as Avatar, Pain & Gain and costumes from the Transformers movies

Spoiler Alert - your spider-sense should be tingling now if you're not familiar with web-slinger history, so this is just a warning about the significance of Gwen's film costume.

One of the great things about these new Spider-man movies is the electrifying on-screen chemistry that Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone share, which brings their comic book characters 'Peter Parker' and 'Gwen Stacy' to life.

Just like Spidey, Gwen Stacy has also been given a makeover that reflects her comic book origins and this green coat, skirt and knee-high boots combo is an updated version of her signature look from her infamous death scene at the hands of the Green Goblin in The Amazing Spider-man #121 from 1973.

I also love the fact they included an appropriate wig for this exhibit, as I feel it always makes the outfits seem more realistic than simply displaying on a faceless and hairless mannequin.

If you're a fan of the wonderful actress, be sure to also check out these movie costumes from The Help, plus the gorgeous red dress Emma Stone wore and Jaguar she drove in Gangster Squad on display.

Clive Owen's costume and film props from Children of Men...

Before the Oscar-winning outer space thrills of Gravity, Alfonso CuarĂ³n made his name with such sci-fi delights as 2006's dystopian futuristic tale, Children of Men.

The film, set in a chaotic 2027 Britain, starred Clive Owen as a former activist who agrees to transport a very important pregnant woman to a sanctuary at sea, in a world where women are thought infertile.

Jany Temime was Costume Designer on this futuristic movie and you can also see her costumes in the Harry Potter movies from the third installment onwards, plus more recently in 007's SkyFall and Gravity.

The London Olympics 2012 logo featured on Clive Owen's sweater is far nicer than the actual ugly design they chose for the real games.

In addition to one of Clive Owen's outfits from the film, the exhibit at Universal Studios Hollywood on April 15, 2014, also included a selection of screen-used props from the movie from a world where fuel was rationed, amongst other things, in a militarized police state.

The display also includes the ping pong ball that Clive Owen and Julianne Moore (as his estranged American wife 'Julian') pass from mouth to mouth in a game to entertain themselves in their car.

If you like these props, be sure to also take a look at this really cool animatronic baby featured in Children of Men.

Animatronic Triceratops dinosaur from Jurassic Park III on display...

With a fresh new sequel in the works for the Jurassic Park franchise, Jurassic World which will debut in 2015, it's no wonder that Universal Studios Hollywood would want to continue to showcase some cool props to keep interest high in the dinosaur sci-fi movies.

Not only was this baby triceratops animatronic from 2001's Jurassic Park III on display at the NBC Universal Experience exhibit on April 15, 2014, but there was also the cane used by Sir. Richard Attenborough as 'John Hammond' in 1997's sequel, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, with its distinctive prehistoric mosquito preserved in amber, from which the scientists were able to retrieve the dinosaur genetic DNA in the first movie.

I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot more Jurassic Park memorabilia in the future, from the first trilogy and from the new installment.

Marty McFly Western costume and film props from the Back to the Future movies on display...

Ever since the restored original DeLorean time-machine car from Back to the Future went on display at Universal Studios Hollywood last year, there's been a constant supply of different original costumes and props from the science-fiction trilogy on display to accompany the iconic 'hero car' each time I've been back to visit.

On this occasion this cowboy poncho worn by Michael J. Fox in the film, by Costume Designer Joanna Johnston, was on display beside authentic screen-used props from Back to the Future II on April 15, 2014.

In 1990's Back to the Future III 'Marty McFly' travels back in time to the Old West and meets his great-great grandparents 'Seamus' and 'Maggie', and as he can't tell them his real name, he calls himself 'Clint Eastwood', hence the poncho look.

If you like this outfit, be sure to also take a look at Marty McFly's atomic cowboy costume from the third installment in this time-traveling trilogy, plus check out Mary SteenBurgen's Clara Clayton gowns from Back to the Future III too.

It may be nostalgic to see these props on display, but it's almost laughable to see what the filmmakers envisioned the future would look like, flying high-tech trashcans, hooverboards and even Mr. Fusion home energy reactors that could turn garbage into clean energy.

Although the scary thing to think about is, in the future there won't be as many of these kinds of props anymore to exhibit, as they'll all be created by CGI special effects.

In 1989's sequel Marty McFly travels with 'Doc Brown' from 1985 to the year 2015 to help save his son, so there's not much time for these inventions to become part of everyday life.
