Insidious: Chapter 2 movie costume and prop exhibit
In the first movie Patrick Wilson and Rose Byrne play 'Josh' and 'Renai Lambert' whose son mysteriously slips into a coma. Obviously it's not a natural coma and to prevent evil spirits from trapping him in a otherworldly realm called 'The Further' his parents sought help from the world of the paranormal and ultimately rescued him.
In the sequel it looks something may have been brought back with him though, as the Lambert family continue to be plagued by ghosts and demons, even with the help of Renai's mother (Barbara Hershey) and some ghost hunters.

Kristin M. Burke was Costume Designer on the first movie and reprises her duties for this horror sequel and is responsible for giving the evil spirits their creepy attire. I believe this costume display includes the 'Ghost Bride in Black's' gothic wedding outfit (who is actually played by a man, Tom Fitzpatrick) and a floaty white period dress worn by Danielle Busutti as a scary ghost.

Also on display with these Victorian looking outfits was a real creepy mannequin covered in arcane symbols and sporting a sinister looking gas mask with headphones, which really steals the show in the exhibit.

I've not seen the movie yet, but I believe this may be an artifact from the paranormal investigators room, which looks its filled with psychic and magical paraphernalia. Regardless of the role it plays in the movie though, this would make a truly creepy Halloween costume if you're stuck for ideas.
These original costumes and props from the movie were spied on display at ArcLight Hollywood cinema on September 11, 2013.
If you're a fan of the horror movie genre, be sure to also check out these screen-used props from James Wan's The Conjuring on display earlier this summer.
